Krishna district has won the Central Zone Under-15 Girls Cricket Championship organised by the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) at the Mangalagiri stadium in Guntur district.
Krishna first beat West Godavari, and then the combined XI of Guntur and Prakasam to clinch the first place. Krishna girls beat the combined Guntur and Prakasam XI team by 62 runs, after the latter won the toss and invited Krishna to bat first.
Krishna scored 181 runs for the loss of six wickets in 30 overs. N Nikitha (33 runs) and L Sruthi Naidu Naidu (33 runs not out) excelled in batting. The combined XI managed to score only 119 runs for the loss of seven wickets. M Mokshagna scored 34 runs while all the remaining batters failed to get double-digit scores. Krishna’s B Chaitra took two wickets for 24 runs.
