BRS Working President KT Rama Rao launched a scathing attack against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, branding him as the ‘iron-leg CM’ who brought Congress to its lowest point.
Addressing a meeting of BRS workers in Vikarabad, KTR accused Revanth of destroying the Congress from Maharashtra to Delhi and predicted that he would continue to wreck the party.
He said that Rahul Gandhi was helping the BJP more than anyone else. “Rahul is the biggest campaigner for the BJP. Wherever he goes, the Congress collapses, and Telangana is no exception,” he said.
He recalled KCR’s warning that voting for the Congress would mean the end of Rythu Bandhu. “As KCR predicted, the Congress scrapped Rythu Bandhu. Farmers are cursing Revanth, and
he won’t be able to bear their wrath,” he said. Taking on Speaker Gaddam Prasad, KTR said that he was acting as per Revanth’s instructions. “The Speaker is openly biased. BRS MLAs are not even given a chance to speak. Is this what Revanth calls Praja Palana?” he asked.
KTR also blasted the Congress government’s handling of farm loan waivers. “I said in the Assembly that if even one farmer confirms 100% loan waiver, I will quit politics. Even today, I stand by that statement because not even 25% of farm loans have been waived,” he said.
He accused Revanth of misleading people with fluctuating figures. “First, he said Rs 40,000 crore, then Rs 31,000 crore at a cabinet meeting, later Rs 26,000 crore in the budget, and finally, at a Mahbubnagar meeting, he claimed only Rs 18,000 crore was needed. But Bhatti Vikramarka admitted that not even Rs 11,000 crore has been credited to farmers’ accounts. This is how a Rs 49,500 crore promise shrank to Rs 11,000 crore, and still, not a single penny has reached farmers,” he said.
Mocking Congress’s election guarantees, KTR said, “Reddy promised ‘Taki Taki’ money for farmers, but not a rupee has been given. No gold for women, no Rs 2,500 for housewives, and no Rs 4,000 pension for the elderly. The Congress fooled people with false promises.”
