KTR claims TG surpassed other states in key metrics

K Taraka Rama Rao, working president of BRS,  stated that  Telangana showcased impressive growth by surpassing other states in several key metrics under the leadership of former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, based on the latest Revenue Bank of India (RBI) data, on Twitter platform on Thursday.
KTR said that Telangana’s Net State Domestic Product (NSDP) per capita for FY 22-23 reached Rs 3.08 lakh, the highest among major states, showcasing significant economic output. With regards to agriculture success, the food grains production grew at an impressive rate of 11.6 per cent Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) from FY 14-15 to FY 21-22, surpassing India’s average of 3.228 per cent while the state’s net irrigated area grew at an impressive 11.76 per cent CAGR from FY 14-15 to FY 20-21, far exceeding India’s average growth of 2.108 per cent.

He also said that the State recorded the highest CAGR of Development Expenditure of states, between FY 14-15 to FY 21-22 (7 periods), at 15.9 per cent, compared to the national average of 10.09 per cent. It has also led in per capita State-wise Own Tax Revenue for FY 2022-23, at Rs 30,914, surpassing most other major Indian states.  About 40 per cent of MSMEs in the State are female-owned, doubling the national average of 20 per cent. Telangana provides one MBBS seat per 4,460 people, significantly higher than the national average of one seat per 12,851. Also, the state’s per capita State Goods and Service Tax (SGST) collection in FY 21-22 was Rs 7,665, well above the Indian average of Rs 4,461.
