Industries Minister KT Rama Rao dug up an old Tweet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi about targeted attacks by the Opposition.
“Why should the Nation NOT have faith in Central agencies like the CBI? Because the PM himself doesn’t!!,” KTR said in his Tweet.
He did quote a re-tweet to A 2013, the tweet of Narendra Modi as the CM of Gujarat read, “The CBI has become the Congress Bureau of Investigation. The nation has no faith in it. I tell the Centre don’t show us the fear of CBI.”
This comes at a time when the BRS has been alleging targeted attacks by investigating agencies against their party leaders.
He re-tweeted another tweet of Modi done by Nayini Anurag Reddy which reads, “The biggest critic of PM Modi is CM Modi.”
In 2013, PM Modi tweeted, “Congress cannot win elections by using the CBI, hiding CM candidates or using deplorable comments. Development is the only mantra that works.” Another tweet of Modi from 2013 reads, “Unfortunately in its quest to target political opponents, the Centre is undermining intelligence systems with the CBI questioning IB officials.”
Another old tweet of Modi was shared by Krishank Manne stating that “No Faith in Modi’s words in the first place. The man who objected MisUse of Central Agencies on Political Opponents is doing exactly the same.”
The old tweet of Modi read, “I objected to the misuse of Central agencies against political opponents. It weakens the agencies and compromises the fight against terror and Maoism.”
