IT Minister KT Rama Rao will be made the Telangana unit president of the BRS. With the TRS becoming BRS all committees of the TRS stand automatically dissolved. BRS President Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has to constitute new BRS committees at the national level and in the state. It is clear that KCR will make his son KT Rama Rao the Telangana unit president of the BRS.
It is interesting to know what responsibilities KCR is going to give Finance Minister T. Harish Rao and MLC K. Kavitha in the party. KCR has to constitute state committees in all states.
It is a very difficult task to identify leaders in other states and give them party responsibilities. For this a senior leader must be appointed to coordinate party affairs in other states. The leader who is going to be appointed to this post must have contacts with other party leaders at the national level.
Actor Prakash Raj may be given this responsibility. KCR’s daughter Kavitha who is a former MP will be given some post at the national level. It is not clear whether KCR wants to utilise the services of Finance Minister T. Harish Rao at the state level or at the national level. Most probably Harish will be kept out of the state party unit.
If Harish is given any responsibility in the state party unit he may become another power centre, fears the BRS leadership. There are chances of KCR asking Harish to contest to the Lok Sabha in the next LS elections.
The BRS needs a reliable leader to coordinate party affairs at the national level. Harish is one of the reliable leaders in the BRS. So Harish may be given some responsibility in the party at the national level.
In Telangana, the present TRS committees may continue as BRS committees. At the state level, the TRS committee may be continued as the BRS Telangana unit committee.
