BRS Working President KT Rama Rao assured Indian students studying in the United States that the BRS would extend legal aid to those facing difficulties abroad.

Addressing a gathering of students at the University of Texas in Dallas on Tuesday, KTR said the BRS US wing would assist Telugu students caught in legal troubles due to ignorance of local laws.

Recognising the emotional and financial burden faced by students and their families when forced to return, KTR said, “Many of our youth come to the US with dreams, but sometimes they falter unknowingly. The BRS has decided to stand by them and offer support through legal channels.”

He advised students to get well-versed in US laws and the evolving social dynamics in the US. “It is not enough to excel in academics; one must also adapt to the society they live in,” he said.

During a candid interaction with students, KTR touched upon the broader purpose of education abroad.

He encouraged them to take inspiration from BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who, despite being ridiculed in his early 40s for leaving a ministerial post, went on to successfully lead the Telangana Movement. “KCR’s journey is proof that bold dreams, backed by courage, can change the world,” he said.

He called on students to focus not just on grades but on long-term goals and social impact. “The world is moving fast, and opportunities are plenty. Don’t just chase a job, try to build something that changes lives,” he told them.

KTR also appealed to students to return to India after completing their education and consider launching their own enterprises.

“Innovation is occurring globally. For India to compete, our youth abroad must return,” he said, expressing concern over the brain drain and stressing the need to convert global exposure into national growth.

The interaction concluded with students posing questions on career paths, legal protections, and start-up opportunities in India, to which KTR responded with practical advice.
