Kubbra Sait joined us at Table For Everyone, a Black & White Ginger Ale initiative that brought together foodies to find the greatest F&B experiences and adventures in Hyderabad lately. It brought us great satisfaction to hear about her experiences exclusively with The Pioneer, the actress who became well-known for playing ‘Kukoo’ on Sacred Games.
“I grew up in a household where Biryani is one of the most cooked dishes in my home—I share this love with Hyderabad,” begins the talented and incredibly energetic person. “I believe that everyone should be able to enjoy Biryani, as it’s a cuisine that transcends beyond just consumption. So I invite my friends over and use that as my means of demonstrating an exceptional dining experience.”
Given her recent string of wins, she’s become one of the industry’s most sought-after names. She goes on to say, therefore: “I have visited several households; I recall going to a Turkish home once, a long time ago. A Turkish grandmother prepared meals for me! Not only that, but she fed me as well. We talked about people, our backgrounds, and the aspects of their lives that most struck us. These conversations and the food are kind of alike, aren’t they? Similar to how you can add a “mix” of it wherever it tastes great. That was the day I also realised that the best food is simple food, and I now rarely eat fancy food.”
Interesting! What else did we have ahead of us? We just so happened to ask! She gave us a thumbs-up interview as well, as she is well-known for her enthusiastic performances! “I wish I could have as much milkmaid now as I had when I was a kid. But sugar and condensed milk were things of the past! No one has been able to remove my cucumber plate from the side up until this point. Salt, pepper, and cucumbers! Eating never makes me upset. I abide by the maxim that you should not use a phone when eating since it is a time to feed your spirit. It’s not just about flavour; it’s also about nutrition.”
She also adds, speaking from her perspective, that she had a pleasant time while she was in Hyderabad. “Maybe it was also unique? It’s not often that we get to have dinner together while strangers come and sit with us. I had been participating in community-driven cuisine for a while out of curiosity, so this wasn’t my first time. I’ve been travelling alone, so I haven’t even felt embarrassed to eat at a table for one. Because of how motivating the museum was for me, I’ve eaten outside of it, and a sandwich there will tell you a tale. Even cooking in a group is enjoyable for me. I’ve consumed a lot of regional cuisines because Rajasthani cuisine is very authentic. I enjoy it! Food from South India is equally good. Eating Indian-cooked local food in the West is a once-in-a-lifetime experience of a lifetime! Indian food gained popularity in the West thanks to Sona Restaurant.”
