Madasi and Kuruva and SC welfare associations JAC leaders on Thursday called on Welfare Minister Koppula Eswar and Alampur MLA Dr Abraham and urged them steps to curtail delay in the issue of caste certificates to the community members.
They said that the Kuruva community did not figure in the list of BCs or any other lists.
They alleged severe injustice to the community by the government, revenue officials by issuing wrong caste certificates to them not caring to implement the recommendations of the National SC Commission.
They appealed to the MLAs of the district to discuss the issue with the government and raise it on the floor of the State Legislative Assembly to end the problem. The community has a population of over six lakhs in 14 constituencies in the district. They urged the Minister and the MLA to take the problem to the notice of the CM to resolve their problems.
JAC leaders Dr Kuruva Vijay Kumar, Satya Swarup, Venkat Ramudu and others were present.
