Mona Singh started her career in 2003 with the iconic show Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, has time and again showcased her acting whether if on the silver screen or OTT.
The actress has starred in 2 films along side Aamir Khan being 3 Idiots and Laal Singh Chadda. Through her phenomenal performance in Laal Singh Chadda the actress’s talent was more highlighted amongst the audience and filmmaker’s with directors taking her more seriously. Her character in the movie was filled with layers, it’s intense has gravity and even though it was a challenging role, she put her best foot forward and gave an amazing performance.
As the movie completes an entire year since release Mona spoke about the film saying, “Laal Singh Chaddha was a game-changer for me, and I, as Gurpreet Kaur, left a significant mark in the film. Working with Aamir has always been challenging and intense, and Laal Singh Chaddha was my second film with him after 3 Idiots. I played a contrasting character with a full life span of 18 to 60, which was quite challenging to portray, and the people saw a whole gamut of portrayals.
I am glad the character came out so well and was widely accepted by the audience, and I was taken aback by the overwhelming response received for the film. I still remember a shooting experience from my last day where Laal’s mother died with so much courage and bravery, and after the shot was completed, Aamir and Advait Chandan instantly hugged me, and everyone on the set started clapping and crying at the same time.”
On the work front Mona Singh is currently winning the audiences hearts with her role in Made In Heaven season 2
