Land-grabbing cases by YSRCP flood ‘Jana Darbar’ at JSP office

Must read

The ‘Jana Darbar’ held at the Jana Sena Party (JSP) state office in Mangalagiri saw a flood of grievances from people across the region.
Most complaints centred around allegations of land grabbing by leaders and followers of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Victims sought justice from the JSP leaders, hoping for resolution after enduring five years of suffering under YSRCP rule.
A significant crowd gathered to present their issues, with a majority focusing on land disputes involving YSRCP leaders. JSP leaders, including Nellimarla MLA Lokam Naga Madhavi, spent the entire day listening to and addressing complaints. Some leaders even took immediate action by contacting relevant officials over the phone to resolve issues on the spot. One of the major concerns raised involved YSRCP MP Y. Vijayasai Reddy. Complainants alleged that Reddy’s associates purchased over 5,000 acres of land along the Bhimili corridor on the Bhogapuram airport route. A new master plan proposed by YSRCP, featuring a 90-foot road, reportedly threatened the properties of over 20,000 middle-class landowners in the area. Victims claimed the master plan was designed to benefit Reddy’s associates at their expense and urged JSP leaders to intervene.
T. Narasimha Raju from Yarrapalem village in Jaggampeta constituency reported that officials had manipulated records of his 3.56 acres of land, placing it under the 22A prohibition list. He accused former YSRCP MLAs Dwaramapudi Chandrasekhar Reddy and Jyotula Chantibabu of demanding 50 per cent of his land to resolve the issue.

Similarly, Ch Srinivasa Rao alleged that followers of former minister Gudiwada Amarnath grabbed his 0.84 acres of land. A Siva reported that his 4.50 acres of D Patta land were taken by the government for house site distribution, but he had yet to receive compensation. These individuals, along with many others, came to the JSP office in the hope of receiving justice and seeing their grievances addressed by the Jana Sena leaders.
