BJP leader Lanka Dinakar officially assumed charge as Chairman of the AP Twenty Points Programme at the Secretariat on Saturday. He took office in the presence of BJP AP State organising secretary N Madhukar. Several leaders, including SEEDAP Chairman Deepak Reddy, Maritime Board Chairman Damachrala Satya, SMSE Chairman Sivashankar, and MLC Ashok Babu, extended their congratulations to him on the occasion. Members of the Amaravati Capital Women Farmers, led by Puvvada Sudhakar, also conveyed their best wishes to Dinakar.
In his first address after taking charge, Dinakar expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and BJP State president D Purandeswari for entrusting him with the responsibility, adding that it was made possible with the coordination of BJP Central leaders.
He highlighted that the Twenty Points Programme is being implemented as part of the Central government’s “Vikasit Bharat 2047” initiative, aimed at achieving the Swarnandhra @2047 vision for the development of Andhra Pradesh. Dinakar emphasised that the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to create a developed India, while Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s goal is a developed Andhra Pradesh.
Highlighting the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Dinakar pointed out the importance of the Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to provide tap water to every household and empower Gram Panchayats.
