Lanka Dinakar, the chairman of the 20 Points Scheme Implementation, has assured that he will work diligently for the development of the Prakasam district.
An interaction meeting was held on Sunday to congratulate and felicitate Dinakar on his appointment as chairman of the 20 Points Scheme Implementation.
During the event, he emphasized that industries are being established in Donakonda, and railway line projects are underway in the district. He acknowledged that Ongole has played a significant role in his political career and committed himself to the comprehensive development of the district.
“We urged Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on August 27, 2024, to include Prakasam district in the list of backward districts. The Finance Minister has since included Prakasam in that list and allocated funds for its development in the budget,” he stated. He added that the implementation of the 20 Points Scheme encompasses various ministries.
Dinakar highlighted that the development of rural areas, as well as initiatives for youth, women, and students, falls within the purview of this department. He noted that Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan has successfully secured significant funds under the Jal Jeevan Mission to provide safe drinking water to all villages.
BJP State Executive Secretary N. Surya Kalyan Chakravarti, renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Srimannarayana, Bapatla District BJP In-Charge P.V. Krishna Reddy, and Ongole BJP Convener Yagaiah Yadav also addressed the gathering.
