Leaders pay tributes to Vajpayee

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in New Delhi on Wednesday, during Vajpayee’s birth centenary observance. He described Vajpayee as “a leader the Indian nation can be proud of”, expressing his deep admiration for the statesman’s vision and leadership.
In a grand celebration marking the birth centenary of the former Prime Minister, several high-profile political leaders gathered at the Sadaiv Atal Memorial Park in Delhi. Among them was the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, BJP national president JP Nadda, and various union ministers.
Amidst the tributes to Vajpayee, CM Chandrababu also took a moment to reflect on his relationship with the late leader through a heartfelt post on social media. He posted on X: “On the occasion of Vajpayee’s centenary, I pay my homage. It is due to his foresight that India today competes with nations across the world and stands tall with pride. Working alongside a leader who always put ‘Nation First’ is a memory that will remain with me forever. His unique way of thinking about the country, his suggestions for modernity and technology, and his proposals for reforms are experiences I will never forget. I pay my respects to the beloved son of India, Atal Ji.”
Meanwhile, Minister for Education, Electronics, IT and RTGS, Nara Lokesh said, “I pay tribute to former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his centenary. Vajpayee was a man who constantly strived for the country’s progress. With his leadership, he paved the way for the construction of a new India. He made special efforts to ensure that the country achieved great progress in the fields of IT, telecom and communication. He changed the face of the country through the Golden Quadrilateral project. With his vision, the country is taking a step towards a developed India. He demonstrated India’s power to the world by conducting the Pokhran nuclear tests. He established great values in politics. Let us re-dedicate ourselves to the achievement of his ambitions on the occasion of Vajpayee’s centenary. That is our great tribute to him.”
Former CM and YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also paid tributes to Vajpayee. “Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji was a revered polymath who guided India through critical times. On his 100th birth anniversary, we pay tribute to Vajpayee Ji, whose enduring legacy continues to inspire generations,” Jagan said.
