Leads in social media worry officials

Due to social media posts, senior bureaucrats, whether serving or retired, have become shaky. Informed persons are out to expose IAS officers, one after the other. The common thread is that all the targeted IAS officers were holding prominent positions in the previous BRS government. Informed quarters say there are many ‘Balakrishnas’ (officials like ACB catch HMDA director) among the bureaucrats. The state government is silently gathering information about all such officers. Social media posts have already targeted senior IAS officer Naveen Mittal and former chief secretary Somesh Kumar. Although only probes will establish the truth behind the allegations made against these officials, social media posts are aiding powers that be with promising leads. Like babus in the erstwhile TDP regime in Andhra Pradesh, officials in the erstwhile BRS government are spending sleepless nights. Aside from officials, the posts target BRS leaders and former BRS Ministers also, including how some employees got lakhs of rupees as salary without attending office.
