PNS|Hyderabad

The Congress launched its ‘Let’s Revolt–Let’s Chase Away’ (Thiragabadadham–Tharimikodadam) campaign aiming to highlight problems facing the public under the BRS government and to provide a platform for citizens to voice their discontent.

The campaign would see over 10,000+ Congress leaders and cadres directly reaching voters through 12,000+ Gram Sabhas and 3,000+ division meetings.

The Congress will also contact around 75 lakh households through a door-to-door campaign with a commitment to bring about change.

The Congress also unveiled its charge sheet, postcard and its missed call support number in a resounding call for accountability.

At the heart of the campaign lies the unveiling of a comprehensive charge sheet against the BRS–BJP governments, outlining mismanagement, policy failures and unfulfilled promises. The charge sheet will serve as a testament to all the concerns raised during the BRS government’s tenure.

The Congress is inviting citizens from all walks of life to rally behind the ‘Thiragabadadham –Tharimikodadam’ postcard and the missed call movement.

Each postcard will symbolise a citizen’s dissatisfaction with the present administration. To make the campaign more accessible, a dedicated missed call number –-7661 899 899 – has also been launched to register support for the campaign.

An official launch through a praja court, a symbolic event that mimics a courtroom proceeding, would also be conducted. Congress leaders will present charges against the BRS government assuming the roles of prosecutors and witnesses.

A “resolving judgement” to remove the present administration and to pave the way for a responsible government would be read out.

After the launch, Congress cadres carrying the torch of change will deliver the charge sheet and postcards to around 75 lakh households across the state through a door-to-door initiative.

Party leaders will also conduct local meetings covering 12,000+ Gram Panchayats and 3,000+ division levels. These meetings will serve as forums to discuss the charge sheet.

Congress leaders will organise ‘Praja Courts’ in all opposition constituencies to ensure accountability at all levels. Charge sheets containing charges will be released against MLAs.

The ‘Thiragabadadham–Tharimikodadam’ campaign seeks to harness the power of public sentiment and channel it into a force for positive change. The Congress’s objective is to uphold the rights of the people, hold the government accountable and forge a new era of transparent governance.
