Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attack Pakistan, conquer Pak occupied Kashmir (PoK) and merge it with India.
The CM urged the Prime Minister to fight Pakistan ‘like Indira Gandhi,’ and that 140 crore Indians are ready to support the Central Government.
“This is not the time for politicking. We must be united during this crisis,” the CM said and added that his government is ready to support the Prime Minister.
The CM recalled that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had fought against Pakistan in 1971. It was Indira Gandhi who ‘divided’ Pakistan and helped to liberate Bangladesh, he said.
Recognising Indira Gandhi’s determination, senior BJP leader AB Vajpayee had called Indira Gandhi ‘Goddess Durga Maata,’ the CM said.
The Chief Minister expressed shock over the killing of 28 innocent tourists in the terrorist attack. Asserting that such incidents should not occur in India in future, the CM appealed to the Centre to take strong action against the terrorists.
The CM also took part in a candlelight rally held in protest against the Pahalgam terror attack at the Necklace Road in Hyderabad on Friday.
Responding to a call by the Congress, the state government organised a candlelight rally attended by delegates from around 100 countries.
“It is high time the Centre rooted out terrorism. The 140 crore people of India should be united irrespective of politics and ideologies during this crisis,” the CM said.
The government conducted the rally to extend solidarity to the victims’ families and support the Centre in its fight against terrorism, he added.
The CM said that the state government conveyed its condolences to the bereaved families and is also ready to support them.
