Life comes a full circle for Burra Venkatesham

Must read

When life throws a curveball, not many will take it to a logical conclusion and bring it to such a closure that others similarly placed do not ever have to face it. On Sunday, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy gave away ‘Katamayya Rakshana Kavacham’ (safety equipment) to toddy-tappers, thanks to an initiative launched by the Backward Classes Welfare Ministry helmed by Burra Venkatesham. For newbies, Venkatesham’s father was a toddy-tapper. One fateful day he fell off from a tree and never recovered. That day also changed the life of Venkatesham, who was then just a seven-year-old. Who could have better understood the necessity of protection kits than Venkatesham, whose family suffered leaving him to grow in the school of hard knocks after the sole breadwinner of the family had passed away. Life definitely has come a full circle for Venkatesham.
