Lobbying in Delhi won’t work: CM

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that it is impossible to bag posts by lobbying in Delhi and that the only way to attain them is to work on the streets for the poor. “The days of winning elections using money are gone. Victory is possible only by taking up public causes,” the CM added.
Attending Youth Congress leaders’ oath taking ceremony on Friday at the Gandhi Bhavan, the CM said that posts cannot be gained by saluting the leadership every day. It is better for such people to forget about posts, the CM said making it clear that posts are only for those who work hard for the party.
The CM said that many who worked for the Youth Congress have excelled in national and state politics. Youth Congress is the first step in politics, he said.
“You can excel in politics only if you go to the people and work for the poor. Congress workers carried the flag with their shoulders shaking and brought the Congress to power in the state. We are moving forward by implementing our promises after coming to power. The Youth Congress is responsible for taking the government’s welfare programmes to the people. We said that those who took responsibility in the party’s affiliated departments would be given posts in the government. We have provided 37 corporation chairman posts to affiliated departments,” he said.
“I am telling KCR, who says he will hit hard, on this platform. If you want to hit hard, hit your son, son-in-law, and child who robbed the people wickedly. Now KCR keeps saying he will come out. What can he do when he comes out? Youth Congress activists will beat and defeat you. What can KCR do when he comes out again?” the CM said.
He said that Telangana is the only state in the country that has conducted a caste census. Telangana is the state that decided to implement the classification of Madiga sub-castes. Modi hugged Manda Krishna many times. It remained a hug of Dhritarashtra and classification was not done. The BRS is spreading negative info about the government on social media, the CM said.
“When there were TV channels and newspapers, they could not do anything to the Congress. What will they do with social media? If the Youth Congress wants, they will make it win not once but four times. I am also ready with you to fight against Modi who has not given a paisa to Telangana. We are exercising restraint. We will soon formulate an action plan on all issues. You should be at the forefront in the fight against the Centre on public issues,” the CM said.
