Education Minister, Nara Lokesh has reaffirmed the TDP-led NDA government’s commitment to prioritising women’s welfare and security. On the occasion of Rakhi Pournami, Lokesh extended his heartfelt wishes to all women in the State during a celebration organised at his residence in Undavalli on Monday.
The event, organised by Telugu Mahila State president Achanta Sunitha, saw many women tying rakhis to Lokesh as part of the Rakhi Pournami festivities.
Among those who participated in the celebrations were Minister for BC Welfare S Savitha and former minister Peethala Sujatha, who also tied Rakhies to Lokesh.
During his address, Lokesh highlighted the TDP’s longstanding support for women’s empowerment, noting that the party has championed equal rights to assets for women and established a special Mahila University dedicated to their education and advancement. He emphasised that TDP has consistently been at the forefront of initiatives aimed at uplifting women since its inception.
