Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation (AP FDC), Posani Krishna Murali, responded to the defamation case filed against him by TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh with a mix of seriousness and mockery.

At a press conference held on Tuesday, Posani stated that these cases were filed against him out of sheer vengeance for his revelations concerning the corrupt activities of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh himself.

Posani, known for his outspoken style, openly ridiculed Lokesh for initiating the defamation lawsuit and made startling claims about Lokesh’s alleged land acquisitions. He asserted that Lokesh had acquired 14 acres of land in Kantheru village for his Heritage Group, openly challenging the TDP leader to prove him wrong in a court of law regarding these land acquisitions, which are situated outside Amaravati. Posani said that if defamation cases were to be filed, there could potentially be thousands of similar cases against Lokesh and other TDP leaders for their defamatory statements.

During the press conference, Posani displayed video clips in which Lokesh had used derogatory language against Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, other ministers, and ruling party leaders. Posani made it clear that he was not intimidated by legal cases but expressed concerns about Lokesh’s alleged criminal intent, even hinting that his personal safety might be at risk from Lokesh. “Lokesh seems intent on harming me, especially if I were to visit Mangalagiri for the court case,” Posani Krishna Murali stated.

Posani clarified his own property holdings, stating that he only owned house sites in Pedakakani village near Guntur, and did not possess any other properties. He further made claims about Chandrababu Naidu’s political influence and asserted that Chandrababu had the capacity to manipulate any system, implying that failure to do so could result in legal consequences. Posani also highlighted a recent incident in Punganur where the police were attacked, underscoring his belief that such cases were fueled by vindictive politics.

In a surprising turn, Posani touched on the topic of vulgarity in politics, stating that engaging in vulgar actions held greater consequences than merely using vulgar language. He made claims about media mogul Ramoji Rao’s role in the decision-making process related to the capital city, alleging that Chandrababu Naidu and Ramoji Rao had determined the capital’s location between Guntur and Vijayawada six months before its official announcement. He dismissed any notion of sacrifice in Amaravati’s land deals, characterizing them as purely driven by real estate interests. Posani also raised questions about land allocations to individuals, including Aswini Datt, in Amaravati in exchange for land in Gannavaram.
