Sukriti Kakar brings people from all cultures and backgrounds together, allowing her as a musician to cross borders and travel to far-off places to share her message and talent with others. She says it is a great way of life and, if successful, a great way to live that life.

Very recently, the Pathaan singer was spotted performing amongst the Aravalli hills, and she couldn’t stop gushing about the fort she was living in. She shares, “As a singer, I sometimes feel really unpleasant about the fact that I am always on a time crunch while performing a gig outside my city. I never really get to feel the boutique hotel’s hues! There is a set pattern for us: from the airport to the hotel, sound check, and the performance. Now, you’ve got to wrap up as soon as possible and leave for your upcoming gig.”

Things were a little different for her this time when she was in Jaisalmer: “I was performing, but at the same time I discovered the desert too because it was a mega desert festival! One of its kind! My flight was delayed, and I started to explore. It really is the golden city. There are forts after forts, and I was living inside one. Felt like it was rising from the desert itself. The fort had temples inside it, another interesting aspect to discover. Those temples are attractive for a singer: since devotees sing devotional songs all night. That was moving to know.”

Sukriti totally agrees that there is definitely magic in the air in Rajasthan that beckons celebrities to marry like the royals! And, as she peaks, why shouldn’t we? She continued, “So much is happening in Rajasthan for all the musicians this month. Both Prakriti and I also visited Pushkar in the same week. Before that, we were performing in Bikaner. Back and forth, I have completely discovered the whole of Rajasthan with back-to-back gigs. I want to have stays like these while performing, it makes my voyage even more enjoyable.”

She recalls one of her extravaganzas from Pushkar and how she really was unable to live it to the fullest. “The boutique property had horseback riding and whatnot, but I had a flight to catch! I could only click photos and not really experience any of the activities. That makes me unhappy sometimes. To avoid this dejection again, both of us have bought a farmhouse in Karjat to allow ourselves to take a break from intense music sessions. And mind you, we aren’t inspired by Salman Khan (she laughed)—Karjat has the best sustainability and financial returns! It inspires us to record a little closer to nature.”

The Northern Lights are an amazing natural phenomenon that she would love to witness at least once in her life. She is soon going to set off on a long, long journey, documenting everything like a movie. She has been waiting for it like a dream to come true, and hopefully, we’ll soon see singer Sukriti Kakar’s dazzling images from the northern lights, showing us all the mysticism that she can.
