Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that the battle will be between the Congress and the BRS in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
He said that he was confident that the Congress would win 14 LS constituencies in Telangana.
Revanth said that the BJP is not an adversary to the Congress in the forthcoming LS Polls and added that the BJP had claimed before the Assembly elections that they would come to power in TS. “During the Assembly elections, I said that the BJP would be third or second.
What I said happened exactly like that in the Assembly elections. Similarly, the BJP will come third in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in TS,” Revanth said.
In an interview with a private TV channel in Davos on Tuesday, Revanth stressed that investors wanted stable governance to make investments and that his policies were different from that of the BRS government led by K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR).
Reacting to a question on replacing KTR at Davos, the CM said that the original is always original and the duplicate is always duplicate and that everyone will know who is the original and the duplicate by next year.
Reacting on T-Hub, Revanth said that whether it is the BRS or the Congress, one has to continue formulating development policies. The IT and pharma sectors did not begin under BRS rule. It started way back in 1993. Development has been going on for the last 30 years and will continue to do so, he said.
He said that the then Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh, Nedurumilli Janardhan Reddy, laid the foundation stone for the Hi-Tech city.
The CM said he did not want Telangana to compete with neighbouring states like Karnataka, Maharashtra or Andhra Pradesh, “but with the world.” He said his state was inviting investors from all over the world and added, “For me, the world is a single village.”
The CM said that his core focus areas are education, IT, pharma, sports and employment. He said he wanted to focus on organic food too.
“I want to establish pharma villages in 10 to 12 clusters in Telangana and locate the best universities in and around Hyderabad,” he said.
