Must read

On Thursday, many film lovers, after watching Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s film Thug Life, felt that Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan is a lucky person. Yes, you heard it right, but what is the connection between Dulquer and Thug Life?

Here is the story. When Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan decided to join hands for Thug Life, they initially wanted to rope in Dulquer Salmaan in one of the lead roles alongside Kamal Haasan. However, due to some reasons, Dulquer didn’t do the film. Instead, they cast Simbu in the same role and the film was released on June 5.

On the first day, the film mostly received negative reviews and even the film lovers were not happy with it. There are no emotions in the film and the Simbu character is also not written well. Film lovers, after watching the film, came out and said Dulquer is very lucky that he didn’t do the film.

Instead, Dulquer did a Telugu film Lucky Bhaskar and it turned out to be a super success. The film was released not only in Telugu but in all other languages and also became successful on OTT platforms. At the inaugural Gaddar Telangana Film Awards, Lucky Bhaskar won the award for Third Best Feature Film. The film also received the Best Screenplay Award (Venky Atluri) and Best Editor (Naveen Nooli). Dulquer Salmaan also received a Special Jury Award for his performance in this film.
