England packed a big punch for Pitchers fame Maanvi Gagroo, with her husband this time! She saw some a whole lot of character that was embedded deep inside the country. If you are still not convinced, you must hear her travel record for our special weekly segment.
“This was the third time I came to see the United Kingdom. What I enjoyed most this time were the concerts that I attended! Very first time in my life, I was present at a metal music festival.”
She had her sunscreens packed, and shades in the go-to bag, and got ready for a lot of music to hear there! She continued to indicate with cheeriness, “Britishers are known for their empire—surprisingly, the UK architecture reminded me of Delhi in many places.
There are so many edifices of historical significance! There are many arches that you’ll find of the utmost importance to a British kingdom.Gothic architecture!” She was referring to the Victorian era, which must have exerted a lot of influence on the famously known actress.
She could see how the architecture was defined by prodigy houses coming from the time when the Queen was crowned. “The appeal of a concert added to my culturally rich stuff. I loved their museums because most of them are free for the public! It’s a smart move, free of cost, any traveller can see showy or ostentatious piles built by the country to preserve now. The sun is so much stronger there, just by the way.
I was sunburned and returned with red arms and a red nose,” added the Triplings fame. There are many new houses of the wealthy built there now, however, what else did she discover? “There is a small township on the outskirts of London where I experienced the Roman culture.
The Cathedral, it’s ruins! Hovered around Buckingham Palace, these places add to a lot of historical importance of the kingdom of the Queen. Scotland was the main attraction for us this time, the castle of Edinburgh and the countryside.”
Italian designers have worked a lot on the structures built there. The English architectural style influenced the actress by the book! She felt like she was in medieval times. The famous Hyde Park is such a tourist attraction for our celebrities, who haven’t we spotted in that green space feeding the ducks!
Maanvi is a regular guest over there too — “Again, it reminded me of Delhi. But it had royalty! It forms a chain from Kensington Palace to St. James Park. There are even historic treasures there! So in the middle of an overactive city, you have your blissful time with the ducks there.”
Maanvi has never stayed in a hotel every time she’s been to London! So, where else? She uttered, “I stay with my friends or relatives. In Scotland, I tried Airbnb. I am not a hotel person at all, hotels lack character. They are all the bloody same! If I am traveling, I would love to experience the local life than live in a sanitised hotel.”
On her last trip to London, “My phone got stolen. It was an unpleasant experience! But this time around, everything was so enjoyable. Both of us share a commonality of walking, so to every place in London, we were taking a stroll together like a romantic couple. There are very well-maintained pedestrians for us! Both of us love watching musical shows also together.”
