Madiga MLAs are trying hard to convince the party high command to get a minister post. They are putting all out efforts in this regard.
As part of it, Madiga Community MLAs have met AICC chief Mallikarjuna Kharge and AICC general secretary KC Venugopal on Thursday in Delhi appealing them to give at least one minister post.
Government Whip Adluri Laxman, Thungathurthy MLA Mandula Samuel, Manakondur MLA Kavvampally Sathyanarayana and Chevella MLA Kale Yadaiah have appealed to Kharge and KC to give one minister post in the proposed cabinet expansion to Madigas, who are 12 percent in the Telangana population.
The Madiga MLAs gave a memorandum in this regard to both top leaders.
It is learnt that the Madiga MLAs tried for the appointment of Rahul Gandhi in vain as Rahul Gandhi was busy.
