Madiga MLAs to go to Delhi for ministerial post

Madiga community MLAs decided to go to Delhi to meet the party high command and appeal to give one ministerial post to their community.
On Wednesday, Madiga MLAs – Government Whip Adluri Laxman, Vemula Veeresham, Kale Yadaiah, Thota Laxmikantha Rao and Mandula Samuel met Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and submitted a memorandum appealing them to give proper representation to the Madiga community in the Cabinet.
 They said the Congress did not allocate a single seat to the Madiga community in the last parliamentary elections in Nagarkurnool, Peddapalli and Warangal constituencies. The Madiga community is in large numbers in these districts. At the same time, the Madiga community was not represented in the recent MLA quota MLC elections. “We have always supported the Congress. We are not against any community. Requesting proper representation of our community in the upcoming State cabinet, petitions have been submitted to the Chief Minister and the Deputy CM,” they said.
 Later, the Government Whip, in a chit chat with the scribes said that the party should give a ministerial post to the Madiga community. “I will go to Delhi and meet AICC chief Mallikarjuna Kharge and Rahul Gandhi in this regard.”
