The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is gearing up to host its prestigious annual conclave, Mahanadu, in a grand and festive atmosphere in Kadapa, according to Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh. Ahead of the TDP politburo meeting, Lokesh chaired a key planning session with conveners and co-conveners of various Mahanadu committees at the TDP national headquarters in Mangalagiri on Wednesday.
Lokesh held extensive discussions with party leaders regarding the preparations and assigned responsibilities to several ministers and senior leaders to ensure smooth conduct. A report on the progress and planning by the ministers’ committee will be presented at the upcoming politburo meeting.
Speaking to the media, Nara Lokesh stressed the party’s tradition of celebrating Mahanadu like a festival, a practice that dates back to the days of party founder NT Rama Rao. He recalled that even during challenging times, the TDP conducted Mahanadu with unwavering spirit. “Despite obstacles posed by the previous government, the public voluntarily attended and made the events successful,” he noted. He also stated that the party has achieved an unprecedented majority in its history after its formation.
Lokesh instructed leaders to ensure that accommodation and transportation facilities are managed efficiently, without any inconvenience to participants.
The three-day Mahanadu will cover a broad agenda. On day 1, discussions on the party’s principles, ideology, and future course of action will be held.
On the second day, deliberations will be held on various resolutions focusing on development and welfare programmes initiated by the coalition government in the State.
On day 3, a massive public meeting is scheduled to conclude the event.

Key attendees included TDP State president Palla Srinivas Rao, Ministers Anagani Satyaprasad, Nimmala Ramanaidu, S Savitha, P Narayana, Gottipati Ravikumar, Dr Dola Balaveeranjaneya Swamy, and senior leaders like Beeda Ravichandra Yadav, MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, Damacharla Sathya, Reddappagari Srinivasa Reddy, Veeranki Venkata Gurumurthy, Manthena Ramaraju, C Bhupesh Reddy, MLAs Jyothula Nehru, R Madhavi Reddy, GV Anjaneyulu, Manthena Satyanarayana Raju, and Chintakayala Vijay, among others.
