Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand asked police officers to maintain consistency in resolving grievances of the citizens, as he conducted surprise checks on new police stations and the offices of the assistant commissioner of police (ACP) and deputy commissioner of police (DCP) on Friday.

The Hyderabad city police has undergone a reorganisation and the day-long inspections were conducted to assess the facilities, infrastructure and operational readiness in the newly launched stations.

CP Anand visited several locations, including Saidabad PS, ACP office, Chandrayanagutta old PS, Santhosh Nagar PS, and the newly sanctioned women’s police station for the South East Zone, among others. He also reviewed the progress of the construction of new buildings and the renovation of existing buildings that would house the new units.

During the inspection, the DCPs and all staff officers were instructed to guide the petitioners and other visitors about the new police stations and offices and changes in jurisdictions. The CP urged the officers to ensure that pendencies never pile up in office functioning.

The state government has reorganised the City Commissionerate with a futuristic vision, and more material and manpower are on the way.  CP Anand encouraged the officers to focus on rendering police services more effectively and efficiently. He also emphasised creating better facilities for women police personnel and requested supervisory officers of all units and PSs to pursue establishment files on high priority to stabilise functioning.

The reorganisation of the city police is expected to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the police force in serving the citizens of Hyderabad. The surprise checks by CP Anand and his team is to ensure that the new units are fully operational and ready to serve the public.
