Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy urged the G-20 Second Infrastructural Working Group to discuss and come out with suggestions for sustainable basic infrastructure facilities in Jagananna colonies.
Addressing the G-20 Working Group delegates at the Radisson Blue Hotel here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister told them that the Government has given house sites to more than 30 lakh poor people and is constructing houses for 22 lakh persons. Pointing out that the works to provide basic infrastructure like drainage, roads, and electricity are in full swing, he asked them to discuss ways to make them sustainable for a long with good quality and with less expenditure. We should move away from the horizontal growth and take to vertical growth to make the basic facilities sustainable for long and of good use, he said adding that they should discuss the issue in detail and provide good suggestions even on horizontal growth models.
