Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand has instructed officials to enhance the reach of the Mana Mitra WhatsApp Governance platform and ensure the delivery of all government services through it. On Monday, he conducted a review of the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) operations at the Command and Control Centre in the State Secretariat.
During the review, he assessed the progress of services provided via WhatsApp Governance and emphasised the goal of enabling 500 services through Mana Mitra by 12 June. He highlighted Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of a citizen-centric governance model where the public need not visit government offices or pursue officials to access services.
Vijayanand stressed the importance of integrating Mana Mitra more deeply into public service delivery and urged Secretariat staff to actively promote its benefits among citizens. He also directed officials to expedite data integration within RTGS, noting that seamless and efficient service delivery across departments depends on integrated data supported by RTGS’s technological infrastructure.
Addressing Panchayati Raj officials, he acknowledged some progress in village sanitation and waste management but insisted that sanitation standards must be raised significantly. He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring visibly clean villages and called for improvements in APSRTC services.
The Chief Secretary also directed officials to make necessary arrangements for the formal launch of the Drone Mart web portal by the Chief Minister, emphasising that the portal must be technically sound and free of glitches.
RTGS CEO Prakhar Jain reported that 325 services are currently being delivered via WhatsApp Governance, with plans to increase this to 400 by month-end. He confirmed the target of 500 services would be achieved by 12 June. He added that blockchain technology is being used to verify downloadable certificates accessed through WhatsApp, with 14,269 certificates on the AP Seva platform and 1,240 on Mee Seva already secured using the technology. Older certificates will soon also be verifiable via blockchain, he noted. He added that the Data Lake infrastructure is nearing completion.
Panchayati Raj Principal Secretary Shashi Bhushan, Director Krishna Teja, APSRTC Managing Director Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, Civil Supplies Secretary Saurabh Gaur, and other senior officials were present.
