Manda Krishna backs Gudur Narayana Reddy

Bharatiya Janata Party State executive committee member and party candidate from Bhuvanagiri Assembly constituency Gudur Narayana Reddy received a shot in the arm on Monday when Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi founder president Manda Krishna Madiga announced his organisation’s unstinted support to him.
At a media conference organised at Bhuvanagiri, Manda Krishna Madiga has announced the support of MRPS to Narayana Reddy. He also appealed to the BCs, STs, minorities and economically backward classes from upper castes to give their votes to Narayana Reddy. Narayana Reddy and former MP Bura Narasaiah Goud have accompanied Manda Krishna in the press conference.
Krishna Madiga categorically stated that it was the Bharatiya Janata Party which was really committed for social justice in the country. “It was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who assured election of a Dalit as President of the country. The Congress which ruled the nation for more than six decades before BJP failed to make at least one Dalit as President of the country,” he said.
Explaining the reason for supporting the BJP in the State, he said that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has taken steps to implement the categorisation of SC reservations with true commitment. The PM has directed the Union Cabinet secretary to form a committee to speed up the process of categorisation four days ago, he said.
He said that though UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, AICC president Mallikarjuna Kharge, Congress leaders Rahul and Priyanka have come to the State several times, they never bothered about the categorisation of SC reservations.
“The Congress has appointed Usha Mehta committee on SC Reservation categorisation when Manmohan Singh was Prime Minister of the country and the grand old party has thrown the report into the dust bin. Categorisation of SC reservation was not just a demand of MRPS but it was recommendation of several committees,” he informed.
He said that during the United Andhra Pradesh regime, the State government has implemented the categorisation for a brief period. But it was not continued by the successive governments. Pointing out that the social justice was possible only through the BJP, Manda Krishna said that only six cabinet berths have been given in the present BRS government to the lower sections in the State.
