Mango farmers from Reddigunta village in Mylavaram constituency expressed their gratitude to MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) for his efforts in ensuring a 50% subsidy on fruit covers. On Friday, the mango farmers, led by directors of the Reddigunta Farmers’ Production Company (FPC) Chebrolu Srinivas Rao and Chebrolu Raju met MP Sivanath at the NTR Bhavan, Vijayawada Parliament office, to thank him for his support.
The farmers explained to the MP that under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) scheme, 800 hectares of mango crops have received fruit covers with a 50% subsidy, amounting to Rs 10,000 per hectare. They showed MP Kesineni the mangoes covered with fruit covers and explained the quality of the produce. In recognition of the high-quality mangoes being grown, MP Kesineni Sivanath honored FPC Director Chebrolu Srinivas Rao with a shawl. The MP assured the farmers that he would always be there to support the development of their farmer producer organizations.
