MAUD chief Dana Kishore inspects water-logging points in the city

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Principal Secretary M Dana Kishore inspected various places in the city. During his inspection at Journalist Colony, he ordered the zonal commissioner to locate the water-logging point and find a suitable area for constructing a rainwater holding.
The government decided to construct storage sumps at the water-logging points to avoid traffic problems in the city during the rainy season. There are a total of 140 water-logging points, but it has been decided to identify the areas with heavy traffic and take up these structures at suitable locations.
As part of it, the government is constructing sumps at 11 areas with a capacity of 10 lakh litres in Khairatabad Zone and Jubilee Hills circles at an estimated cost of Rs 20 crore.
During his inspection at Journalist Colony, he expressed anger over the officials for not doing patch works on the roads at Palapitta circle.
He inspected garbage vulnerable points (GVP) at Jubilee Hills Road No. 45, Road No. 70, Gautam Nagar Basti, Deen Dayal Nagar Basti and Film Nagar.
He spoke to the Sanitation Field Assistants (SFA), who are working on the fields. If there are any problems at the field level, the workers are told to inform the superiors.
He said that workers must wear uniform and gloves during working hours and follow protective measures.
Khairatabad Zonal Commissioner Anurag Jayanthi, Executive Engineer Vijay Kumar, Water Board General Manager Harishankar and others participated in the inspection.
