Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), a global infrastructure leader, organised a flag-off ceremony on Thursday to mark the inaugural dispatch of a pressure vessel to the Mongol Refinery in Mongolia. The event took place at MEIL’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad.
Dr. Altantsetseg Dashdavaa, CEO of Mongol Refinery, attended the ceremony along with officials from the Mongol Refinery, Vikalp Paliwal, General Manager of MEIL, and other senior company officials. This inaugural dispatch marks the beginning of a significant phase in the Mongol Refinery project, symbolising the strong partnership between India and Mongolia. The project, supported by the Government of India, is a government-to-government initiative that highlights both nations’ shared commitment to enhancing economic development and strengthening energy security in Mongolia.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Altantsetseg said, “The Governments of India and Mongolia are working together to strengthen our bilateral ties. I am very pleased with the tremendous work done by Megha Engineering. It is an honour to participate in the flag-off ceremony for the inaugural dispatch of a pressure vessel to the Mongol Refinery. This refinery is Mongolia’s first-ever oil refinery, and MEIL is executing three of the four key packages for this project, demonstrating their deep expertise, commitment, and the use of advanced technologies. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Government of India, Engineers India Limited (EIL), and MEIL for their efforts in making this landmark project a reality for Mongolia.”
MEIL Director P Doraiah remarked, “We are proud to begin the first dispatch of refinery equipment to Mongolia. Our dedicated workforce is executing this critical project with exceptional skill and commitment, overcoming various challenges in Mongolia. This is a milestone for MEIL, and we look forward to continuing our contribution to the success of the Mongol Refinery.”
