Temperatures in Hyderabad soared to 43 degrees Celsius on Saturday. It is the highest ever as per a report by the Indian Meteorological Department- Hyderabad (IMD-H). The IMD has predicted dry weather across the State till April 9.
As per the report a heat wave prevailed over districts which include Nizamabad, Khammam, Medak, Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal. On April 7, the aforementioned districts, along with Peddapaly, Rajanna Sircilla , Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Nalgonda and Suryapet are likely to experience warm nights .
The heat wave is expected to continue in the state on April 8. Districts which include Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad and Mancherial are likely to experience thunderstorms.
As per the Telangana State Planning Development Society (TSDPS) Telangana is likely to experience dry weather till April 9. The maximum temperatures are expected to range from 38-42 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature is expected to be 24-27 degrees Celsius.
Areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) are likely to experience dry weather till April 9. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 39-42 degrees Celsius. The minimum tempeature is expected to be between 25-27 degrees Celsius.
Among areas under the GHMC Jubilee Hills recorded the highest temperature ( 42.4 ) followed by LB Nagar (42.4), Begumpet (42.3), Kapra (42) ,Yousufguda, (41.9), Charminar (41.8) and Khairatabad (40.5)
