Min Ponguleti asks KCR as to how Medigadda became a burial ground

Must read

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy questioned former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to tell as to how Kaleshwaram Medigadda, which was once a temple for KCR, is now being described by KCR as a burial ground. Ponguleti asked KCR to introspect in this regard.
While participating in the debate on ‘Telangana Irrigation-White Paper’ in the Assembly on Saturday, Minister Ponguelti said that it would have been better if Opposition leader KCR had come to the legislature.
Ponguleti said, “KCR was there from the beginning to the end of the Kaleshwaram project. If KCR, who carved the Kaleshwaram sculpture, was in the Legislative Assembly today, would he have given a solution to the cracked pillars and the destroyed sculpture? That is why we wanted KCR to be in the House. But it is unfortunate that he did not come to the House.”
“We want to say the same thing to those who say that Kaleshwaram means barrages, reservoirs, sub-stations, pump houses and kilometers of tunnels. Just think where the base of Kaleshwaram total project is. It should be noted that the foundation of this project is Medigadda. Pillars sagged in Medigadda and bubbles are coming into Annaram barrage. After that the seepage started in Sundilla barrage. When the situation is like this, the BRS is trying to blame the Congress government for not providing water. KCR, in the Nalgonda meeting, said that this government is not capable of lifting water from Godavari and if I were CM, I would have lifted the water from Godavari.”
Ponguleti said that on October 21, the Madigadda pillars sank. From then till December 6, KCR was the Chief Minister for 46 days. How much water did he lift and fill the reservoirs in these 46 days?, Ponguleti questioned.
Ponguletei alleged that in 2017, the seed of corruption was planted in the irrigation meeting held at Pragati Bhavan under the chairmanship of KCR. As irrigation minister T Harish Rao also participated. The nature of the project was changed and the estimations were increased at their will.
