Panchayat Raj Minister Seethakka received 160 applications, including land issues in the ‘Face-to-Face with Minister’ programme on Tuesday. Some of the applicants alleged that their lands were grabbed and appealed to the Minister to see that their lands would be given back to them.
Some appealed to the Minister to remove corrupt officials. Some others appealed to the Minister to initiate action against the BRS leaders who resorted to attacks on them during the BRS regime.
Other applicants appealed to the Minister to set up a new Anganwadi centre in their village and give Indiramma houses to Congress activists only and provide government jobs to them. Interestingly, 1998 DSC candidates, who submitted their applications in the very first face-to-face programme, also submitted their application to Seethakka requesting her to provide jobs to them. Some others asked the Minister to recognise them as Telangana protagonists.
Minister Seethakka issued orders to the collectors and officials concerned over phone on the spot. She directed the staff to see that the problems should be solved as per the rules and regulations.
