SEI, a leading technology and investment solutions provider, is exploring the possibility of establishing a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, further strengthening Telangana’s banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) ecosystem. IT Minister D Sridhar Babu held discussions with SEI on Tuesday and announced that If approved, the GCC could create high-skill engineering and financial jobs over the next three years.
The Minister met with SEI’s senior leaders, including Zachary Womack (Global CTO), David Langdale (Global Head of Operations) and others. The meeting focused on the impact of the proposed GCC on the region’s economic and technological growth.
Minister Sridhar Babu emphasised Telangana’s strong talent pool which has already attracted GCCs of top global BFSI firms like JP Morgan and Bank of America. SEI’s interest in Hyderabad is seen as a boost to the State’s efforts to become a global BFSI hub. He added that SEI, with 5,000 employees world-wide, views Hyderabad as a strategic location for supporting its digital engineering strategy.
Meanwhile, Global Chief Technology Officer David Langdale highlighted Hyderabad’s appeal as a Global Capability Centre due to its talent, infrastructure and business-friendly environment, aligning with SEI’s global digital engineering strategy.
