Minister for Social Welfare Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy conducted a surprise inspection to Ambedkar Bangladesh village on the night of Tuesday.
The Minister visited the hostel during the night and interacted with the students and knew their problems. He saw the toilets and ambiance of the residential school. He expressed displeasure over the poor maintenance of toilets and not functioning of the lighting system. The Minister observed a water pit in the school premises and instructed the officials to take steps to fill the pit.
The Minister expressed shock when he was told that one student was bitten by a snake in the school some time ago. He instructed the school headmaster and teachers to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the residential school.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted that the Government has given priority for education and is providing all needed facilities to the students. He exhorted the students to excel in education utilizing the facilities being provided by the Government. Later the Minister had dinner with the residential school students.
