Minister for Prohibition and Excise V Srinivas Goud has said that the BRS government solved the decade-old problem of Podu lands. He said that the government would always strive for the welfare of the poor.
He distributed Podu land titles to 26 tribal people at Dachakpalli in Hanwada mandal on Tuesday. Later, he took part in a series of foundation stone laying ceremonies and inauguration functions.
He declared open the newly-laid road from Tankara to Dachakpalli. It was built at a cost of Rs 52.50 lakh and inaugurated the government school developed under Mana Ooru-Mana Badi at a cost of Rs 19.24 lakh and a compound wall and a temple parapet wall built at a cost of Rs 18 lakh. He declared open two CC roads developed each at a cost of Rs 5 lakh.
The government kept its promise to the Podu farmers and developed cement concrete roads, provided drinking water and constructed drainages in all villages.
He asked the officials to call the tenders and complete the bitumen road at the Chenchu colony.
Hanwada MPP Balaraju, Dachakpalli Sarpanch Balakista Reddy, Tahsildar Bakka Srinivas, MPDO Dhananjaya Goud, former ZPTC Karunakar Goud and other elected people’s representatives and officials accompanied the minister.
