Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar has said that the Congress government provides “Praja Palana”. He hinted at filling 3000 posts in the TG RTC soon.
He flagged off 33 electric buses at Karimnagar bus station here on Sunday. Speaking after inauguration of the buses, he said that several women understood free travel on the RTC buses.
Further, he said that RTC would buy more buses through Mahila Sakti and Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas.
Besides filling 3000 posts, the RTC would pay attention to extending PRC to the RTC employees and filling of posts in the RTC on compassionate grounds.
Further, he said that the TGRTC entering into an MoU with the JBM group to procure electric buses. The Government’s idea is to run electric buses in Hyderabad and other districts.
To check the pollution in Hyderabad city, plans are under way to phase out all diesel buses within the Regional Ring Road, he said adding that the Congress government soon after coming to power has been introducing revolutionary measures to develop the RTC.
