Minister for Tourism and Culture Kandula Durgesh inaugurated the Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital in Kakinada on Tuesday. The Minister said that in the wake of the rise in issues like dry eye and myopia that affect people of all ages, especially schoolchildren, this modern facility is crucial. “I would like to point out that Andhra Pradesh’s eye care infrastructure is among the best in India, with government hospitals introducing advanced technologies and treatments. The government is also rolling out programmes to enhance eye care services. Hospitals like Dr. Agarwal’s align with our goals of expanding and improving eye care, and we must work together to increase awareness and accessibility, particularly in rural and underserved areas,” he said.
Rahul Agarwal, COO of Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital said, “Our dedication to introducing advanced eye care techniques in Andhra Pradesh is unwavering. We already have a strong presence in Guntur, Madanapalle, Nellore, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam. Our latest hospital in Kakinada represents a significant step in our mission to enhance accessibility, efficiency, and precision in eye care for the people of this region. We are offering a free comprehensive eye check-up to everyone till August 31.”
