The Olympic Run was enthusiastically conducted at the LB Stadium on Sunday on the occasion of International Olympic Day. Minister of Tourism and Culture Jupalli Krishna Rao and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud participated in the run by lighting the sports torch.
Minister Krishna Rao and Mahesh Kumar Goud wished the sportspersons a happy Olympics Day. They wished the Indian sportspersons to do their best in the Paris Olympics and increase the reputation of the country. Players who are entering the ring from Telangana are Nikhat Zareen, Akula Sreeja and Esha Singh.
Minister Krishna Rao said, “As per the instructions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, we will work for the development of sports and infrastructure in the State. We will provide assistance to the sportspersons who excel in the Olympics.”
Former treasurer of State Olympic Association Maheshwar, vice-president Premraj and president of Boxing Association Babu Rao participated in the programme.
