Minister lays stone for construction of R&B road

Minister for Water Resources Management Nimmala Ramanaidu laid the foundation stone for the construction of an R&B road at Ravipadu village in Poduru mandal Palcole constituency on Wednesday.
The Minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of the R&B road at a cost of 289.45 lakh. The road will connect four villages. He also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a CC road.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the erstwhile YSRCP government had procured paddy from the farmers for which it had to disburse Rs 1650 crore to the farmers.
But the YSRCP led previous government did not disburse the money. Immediately after the Chandrababu Naidu led new government took charge, it had released Rs 1000 crore for the disbursement to the farmers for their paddy produce, the minister acknowledged.
The Minister underlined the need for prosperity of agriculture and industrial sectors for the development of the state. The NDA led government’s aim is to make agriculture a lucrative profession, he observed.
The government has taken up the removal of hyacinth and other wild creepers from the irrigation canals and drains by spending Rs 90 crore, the minister announced. “The Jagan Mohan Reddy headed previous government had borrowed Rs 36,000 crore on the civil supply corporation,” he lashed out. Panchayat Raj EE K Ramakantha Rao, Des G Venkata Ratnam and D Satyanarayan were among those who were present.
