Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister Ponguru Narayana, along with top officials, reviewed the preparations at the venue for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Amaravati. The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Amaravati on May 2, and will restart development works in the capital region.
Speaking to the media, Minister Narayana stated that 90 per cent of the arrangements for the PM’s visit have been completed. Key access roads to the event venue have been identified, along with 11 designated parking zones and eight main approach roads to facilitate smooth logistics.
He stressed the significant support from farmers, highlighting that within just 58 days, 34,000 acres of land were voluntarily pooled by farmers for the capital’s development. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has instructed that these farmers should be honoured during the PM’s public meeting.
The Minister revealed that three stages are being constructed at the venue for various segments of the event. On the issue of additional land pooling, Narayana mentioned that discussions are ongoing with local public representatives. He clarified that land pooling will only proceed with the consent of the people, and if not, land acquisition may be considered as an alternative.
