Telangana State Tourism and Culture Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao has directed the officials to develop Telangana’s tourism sector to attract national and international tourists. He conducted a highlevel review of the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation in Loniharita Plaza, Begumpet on Tuesday.
The officials explained the projects undertaken under the auspices of the tourism department, management of green hotels and other issues to the Minister through a powerpoint presentation.
The Minister said that the projects undertaken should be completed quickly. He advised the officials to set a specific period and complete the work accordingly, to monitor the work from time to time and not to compromise on quality.
Krishna Rao said that if the number of tourists in the State has to increase, there should be adequate facilities, and to attract world-class tourists, it will be possible only when such level of facilities are added. Green hotels should be developed in the private sector and the occupancy ratio should be increased.
They were directed to devise and implement special activities to find innovative ways to increase revenue. He advised them to provide quality services in management.
