Ministers promise all help to flood victims

Ministers Gottipati Ravi Kumar and Dr Dola Sri Bala Veeranjaneyaswamy have assured flood victims that the government will provide all possible support. Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar and Social Welfare Minister Dr Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy toured the flood-affected areas of Jakkampudi Colony, Chitti Nagar, and Sitara Centre on Monday. Wading through knee-deep water, both ministers visited the homes of victims and inquired about their difficulties.
The victims highlighted issues such as electricity and water supply. Minister Ravi Kumar explained that electricity had been suspended as a precautionary measure due to the floodwater, but efforts are underway to restore power to every block in Jakkampudi Colony. Officials informed the ministers that electricity would be fully restored by Monday night.
Ministers Ravi Kumar and Dr Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy also inquired about the provision of food, drinking water, and milk to the flood victims, assuring them of their support. Ravi Kumar noted that Vijayawada had never experienced such severe flooding before. The ministers stated that the state government would provide compensation and support to every family affected by the flood.
