As many as 40 schoolchildren had a miraculous escape when a lorry rammed their school bus at Nakkapalli in the Anakapalli district on the national highway on Friday. Police said that the private school was taking students to school. A lorry rammed the school bus from the rear end in which five students suffered injuries.
They were admitted to the government hospital at Nakkapalli where they were undergoing treatment. The incident took place when the private school bus halted in front of the residential school so some students had to alight from the bus. Except for five students, all other students escaped unhurt.
