CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the BRS government misused the Telangana bureaucracy to meet its political needs and this led to its complete failure during the recent floods.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Bhatti said that the government had failed to heed the warning of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) about heavy rains and that the government must accept responsibility for the losses that occurred due to the rains. He said that KCR constructed irrigation projects not for farmers but for his own political and financial needs. He said that KCR took over the engineering of the Kaleshwaram Project and designed three check dams leading to danger. He said that KCR is inducting politicians from other states into the BRS by bringing them to TS on special flights.
But he will not respond if a request is made for a helicopter to help people during floods. He said that people drowned in the recent floods due to unscientifically designed irrigation projects.
Bhatti asked the CM to send officials to flood-hit areas to assess losses. He said that KCR is habituated to deceiving the public and that he had also deceived Lord Rama.
He said that he had been praying to Lord Rama to ensure that KCR is defeated in the next elections as he is deceiving people.
Bhatti said that they are meeting the Governor, Dr Tamilisai Sounderarajan, and would request her to make the government help the flood-hit immediately.
