Peddapalli legislator Chintakunta Vijaya Ramana Rao has claimed that the state government is totally committed to the implementation of the poll promises made by the Congress and felt that the crop loan waiver up to Rs 2 lakh would soon reach all the eligible farmers. He put the blame on technical glitch for the loan waiver benefits not reaching some of the farmers.
Addressing media here on Tuesday, the MLA observed that on account of technical defects and errors on the part of the banks, the loan waiver did not reach the farmers. The defects would be rectified and the farmers would be benefited by total loan waiver scheme, he said assuring the farmers.
In Peddapalli Assembly constituency, over 27,471 farmers were benefited to the tune of Rs 192.95 crore because of the loan waiver. Breathing fire on the BRS regime, the MLA said that the previous government pushed the State into debts and plummetted the financial position of the State. At some places, the BRS leaders, under the garb of the farmers, are staging protests against the loan waiver. The farmers would teach these leaders a lesson, he predicted.
On the loan waiver, BRS leaders KTR and Harish Rao have been competing with each other in criticising the government. The BJP government at the Centre has been implementing the black laws to the detriment of the farmers, he alleged.
Not a single State under the BJP rule across the country implemented the loan waiver, he ridiculed.
